French doors as individual as you are.
All our French doors are mainly glass, either frosted or clear, with double, or triple glazing. You can choose inswing, opening in, or outswing opening out. French doors are more common opening out and then often have restrictors fitted, to stop the doors swinging in the wind.
We can also fit cabin hooks to securely fasten back the doors, once open. You can choose French doors with grid patterns within the glass often called Georgian bar. A horizontal mid-rail can be chosen to split the doors and then solid or glass panels can be used in the lower sections.
French doors - Configurations.
There are many configurations to consider: a one panel door is ideal for smaller spaces, two doors that meet in the middle, equal split, or one door larger than the other.
All styles really open your space. French doors can stand alone or be used in conjunction with one or two sidelights (matching fixed windows to the left and or right) for even more natural light. The choices are almost endless.

Eclipse Aluminium French doors are a design marvel.
The slenderness of our Eclipse Aluminium profile enables our range of French doors to place the emphasis firmly on glazing. The appeal of your home will rise immediately with the installation of these doors, whether they’re integrated into the back wall of the property or, indeed, inside of an extension. Eclipse Aluminium frames also boast an intricate contour on the external side of the frame, something usually associated with the woodgrain effect you would see on a traditional timber door.
All our powder coated Eclipse Aluminium finishes are of the highest quality, and are fade resistant...
The 11-stage powder coating process that contemporary Aluminium is subject to induces strong paint adhesions and results in a true colour which is sheer quality to the look and touch. Similarly contemporary Aluminium woodgrain finishes benefit from a unique process known as sublimation which results in Walnut, Rosewood or Oak appearances which are utterly convincing and second only to real wood itself.
An elegant handle is a must…

Why are they called French doors?
French doors originated in France during the 16th to 17th centuries. The French discovered that a window like door that has full glass panes extending for most of their length proved the perfect answer for introducing light, unobstructed entry, and ventilation.
These characteristics were in keeping with the Renaissance architectural designs that were popular at the time and have certainly stood the test of time. French doors and French windows are available in a host of styles and colours and can even be different on the inside to the outside.
