You Can Trust 5 Star – We Are A FENSA Member

Knowing who you can trust when running the rule over the many home improvement companies in the area can be determined in several ways, such as uncovering whether they’re a member of a consumer protection scheme.

5 Star earns a tick in the box for that as we are a member of FENSA, a scheme that regulates double glazing companies and ensures they comply with Building Regulations.

Setup in 2002 by the Glass and Glazing Federation, you may have seen the FENSA scheme being advertised on TV.

Their ongoing TV campaign communicates a couple of messages to householders, including the importance of choosing a FENSA approved installer for the trusty installation of replacement windows and doors.

You must be extremely good at what you do and conform to the very highest standards to be accepted onto the FENSA programme; 5 Star has the necessary qualities.

Ever since becoming a FENSA member, their team of assessors have regularly monitored our work to check that our standards haven’t slipped. If they find any evidence of that happening, they can revoke our membership.

They offer a complaints service too if you find yourself dissatisfied with any work carried out by a FENSA installer.

But, that’s not the only reason to opt for a FENSA member.

Any work conducted by a FENSA member will comply with building regulations, and be registered with a customer’s local council, ahead of them receiving a FENSA certificate from the installer.

This certificate is a significant document.

You will need to hand it over to anyone who buys your home in the future as it proves to them that any replacement windows and doors you’ve had installed are certified. Without it, you could have difficulty selling the house.

If you don’t use a FENSA installer, you will be responsible for getting the relevant certification from your local building authority.

FENSA isn’t the only scheme to give 5 Star the thumbs up!

We’re also proud to be a member of the Ultra Installer Scheme and Atlas Approved Installer Network.
