- 15 Oct 2024Our old conservatory roof was near K******d, almost totally cream crackered. We were desperate, what could we do, we needed a hero crew. Guess who came to the rescue, 5 Star Windows of Kidderminster, that's who! The teams were scheduled, they did their bit, what a fabulous job the fitters did of it. Roof dismantled and reformed, transforming our aspect of rain on a tin roof. Plasterers did sterling work, so clean, you hardly knew they'd been. The Sparky's lights sparkled like stars in the night, glistening so clear and bright. We watched in amazement; our hearts skipped a beat. It really was a real treat, little mess, stress free cleaning it gave quality a real meaning. - 02 Oct 2024So this year 5 Star have done two sets of replacement windows for me. The first, a complicated set of windows due to an old building with quirky features, that the bigger national window companies either declined completely or quoted ridiculous amounts of £££. Not so 5 Star - they took the job on and although it wasn’t plain sailing they did not sign it off until it was perfect. The owner of the company even appeared at my door to apologise for the slight delay and to reassure me that the job would be completed to the highest standards. A slight snag post completion was sorted instantly and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. The second job a standard window and quick order, fit and completion. - 24 Sep 20245star windows and conservatories came out to look at our conservatory roof , which was fibre glass old and discoloured.We decided to change the roof as the space was not being used in the winter or hot summer (when we had one !)It was a difficult build due to its position sandwiched between end of the house and a garage wall which was on higher ground than the house .Throughout the build they were on time , cleaned up at each stage and there was great communication with Lauren Bridgewater who kept us informed on the build and also any problems that occurred due to it’s difficult position.We now have a great room which will be well used all year round .Nicole MorrellReviewed forSolid Roof

- 24 Aug 2024The whole process from start to finish ran quite smoothly although it took a lot longer than it should. This was mainly due to the weather. The building work was interrupted by rain on some occasions. However the builders carried on as best they could and the job was done satisfactorily. I kept them going with tea and sausage sandwiches on a daily basis. On a critical note they could've been a bit cleaner after each day's work. But they were cheerful and helpful. On another critical note there was quite a long delay between the builders finishing and the doors and windows arriving. This process could've been speeded up. All of the men who came to perform various tasks were professional and did a good job. There was also good communication with the office who always responded quickly to any queries. - 19 Jul 2024The salesmen was polite, punctual and listened carefully to what we wanted. The price seemed a lot but we accepted it. The work began when we asked for it to begin. The team arrived with their kit on time. Both fitters worked non-stop. Even the radio, for which they didn't ask permission, wasn't intrusive. The work is excellent. They cleared up most of the mess and everything was left in working order. Unfortunately, one of the doors needed some attention to facilitate opening and closing, but an engineer was here very quickly and made the necessary adjustments very quickly. The original introduction survey was carried out by Ross who was professional didn't try to pressure and took time to allow us to make a decision to suit us. The price was very competitive and the quality of the product is excellent. The fitting team arrived on time and quickly and efficiently removed the old conservatory and had the new one up, secure and water tight before 5.00pm. Came back the following day on time and finished the job. They were polite, efficient and cleaned up and removed any rubbish as they went. A five-star experience from start to finish, even though this was, for them, a comparatively small job - the replacement of a front door: 1. salesman Ran, who was polite, patient, informative and attentive (unlike his opposite number at another similarly local supplier) - and gave me the 'bottom-line' price directly without the usual interminable double-glazing rubbish of "this is the top-line price; I'll see what discounts several phone calls can achieve". 2. the installation engineer Lewis, who was also polite and informative, and thorough and tidy in his work. 3. Installation Manager Adam who attended to answer a couple of queries and effect some very minor adjustments and communicated with me as a human being, not 'just another customer'. - 03 May 2024I first used Five Sar Windows about 15 years ago when they installed lovely sliding patio doors in my kitchen. Recently, in my new house they have replaced a huge lounge window and a bedroom window, both supported properly with steel lintels where a previous company had not fitted lintels at all. Now, they've replaced draughty glass doors leading to the conservatory with lovely secure, double glazed French doors. Excellent installers even replaced the wooden surround in order to preserve the wood theme of the conservatory. Friendly service. Two surveys before installation. No long delay. First came across them about 5 years ago when my parents used them for their extension and new front door. 5 years later myself and my partner decided we needed new windows and doors on our 2nd home in order to make it ready into a proper family home for our 3 month old boy. Everyone at the Kidderminster branch has been very helpful and supportive. The whole process was very simple where a lovely guy Ash came out to give us a quote and go through everything with us. It’s a little different having to choose everything yourself when your first home was a new build and already done for you! During COVID our reviews scored lower.
Honesty is the best policy!
It was the most difficult time for the window industry. Staff, customers and suppliers were ill. Supplier deliveries were delayered, lost or missing vital components due to the impact of COVID. Some customers vented their dissatisfaction on delays using their review score.
After COVID a team at 5 Star worked through all poor reviews to insure installations were complete and that there was nothing outstanding.
Please take the COVID period into consideration when reading reviews between March 2020 and December 2021.
Reviews are not always from customers!
If you read the reviews on the different review site listed above you may notice that some reviewers post the same reviews on multiple sites. This only happens with 1 star reviews, when competitors and customers use reviews as a weapon, in an attempt to lower or damage our overall reviews score. If this didn’t happen our reviews scores would be significantly higher.
When reading 1 star reviews please do check on our responses they often give an insight into what really happened.

Please be honest. Reviews should be a fair reflection of your experience, whether it was positive or negative. Avoid exaggerating or downplaying it, and try to provide an impartial assessment of your experience.
Use specific examples and details to support your opinion. Photo’s and videos where the sites allow add real value.
If you want to post damning reviews, why not warn the company first? They might take the action you desire to avoid bad publicity.
